5 Major Problems in ESL Classrooms Caused by Teachers.

  1. Being impatient to get result. Teachers may accidentally teach their students too fast without them realizing it.
  2. Teaching students not according to their pace/ level of learning/ understanding. Students should be categorized from weak/ beginner to intermediate to upper- intermediate and lastly the advanced students.
  3. Not being clear and concise with instructions that will caused misunderstanding by students.
  4. Not giving proper examples that can help students with their understanding in the target language especially when students cannot come with their own examples.
  5. The teaching and learning process is more to 'Teachers Centered' and not 'Students Centered', meaning the teaching and learning seems to be more on teachers or being in controlled by teachers all the time and not focusing on the students for example teachers talk at most of the time and not giving their students the chance to express what they have in mind.
