1. Master your topic, it is always much better for you to choose the topis that is very familiar to you.
2. Rehearse as practice makes perfect and they can build up your confidence too.
3. Time yourself during practice, you'll know when you've crossed or exceeded the time limit. Timing is almost everything.
4. Communicate with your audience to ensure that they are joining you 'in the class' and try to get their response by asking related questions especially pop questions from your previous part of explanation.
5. Be clear and precise, the point is not to get an entertaining show, but to make sure your audience get what you mean throughout the presentation and to get good marks from your lecturer of course.
