Oral Presentation: Product Description Speech Preparation Guidelines

INTRODUCTION [1 to 1 and half minutes]

Hello everyone! How are you feeling today? (Greet the audience) We are ………………… and ……………… from XYZ company. (Tell the audience where are you guys from? Which company are you from? The reason both of you standing in front, are you on a road show to promote the product etc.) Today, we are here to promote………… (Tell the audience what is the product that you want to promote. Please be specific about the product: (e.g Iphone 5 instead of Iphone OR Samsung Galaxy II instead of Samsung Hand phone) 

1st- MAIN IDEA [2 minutes] 

First, let me tell you about the features of the product. (Here you can describe about the size, shape, colour, height, length, weight, width, design, materials used to etc.)(If the product comes in separate parts (2 maybe) then you should explain it by part. 

2- MAIN IDEA [2 minutes]-Give at least 3 main points + elaboration + demonstration 

Let’s talk about the special functions/the strength and how to use the product. (Here you can describe on how to use the product and if there’s any special functions/ the strength of the product that the audience need to know about.) (You should give a detail explanation about the special functions/ the strength to the audience.) This hand phone is very durable because the body and the display screen is protected by high resistance glass that is unbreakable and scratch free too.) 

3- MAIN IDEA [2 minutes] 

Now you know how to use the product, then you need to know few tips on how to look after the product. (Here you should inform the audience on how to maintain the product. Does it need to be cleaned daily? Yearly? or it doesn’t require a lot of maintenance or you need special dish liquid to clean it etc.) 

CONCLUSION [1 to 1 and half minutes]

(Here you can promote the product by giving extra gifts or any shopping voucher and maybe you are entitled to join a lucky draw contest and etc. You can also explain about the after sales service and the warranty period.
