Nouns.

A Noun is a name of anything. It is the name of a thing, a person, a bird, a place, an idea, a thought, a feeling, a quality, etc., e.g. pencil, Mr. Rahim, tiger, sparrow, equality, mathematics, happininess, goodness.

To find the Noun in a sentence, we ask the question “What?” or “Who” before or after the Verb in the sentence.

Look at these sentences:

1. Cows eat grass.(What eat grass? Cows=Noun)

(Cows eat what? Grass=Noun)

2. Rashid saw a dog. (Who saw a dog? Rashid=Noun)

(Rashid saw what? A dog=Noun)
